Which sessions are offered face-to-face in 2022?

  • Capstone June 12-16, 2023 will be held in person at Walton High School
    • 1590 Bill Murdock Road, Marietta, GA 30062
  • All other 2023 Walton APSI sessions will be virtual. 

Can I register for AP Capstone Seminar or AP Capstone Research here?

  • Yes, you can. See dates on Home Page.

What are my payment options?

  • You are encouraged to pay online using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as your space is immediately secured and confirmed.
  • You may also pay offline using a College Board APSI scholarship or check or PO.
  • The WaltonAPSI will generate an invoice and send it to the person listed as the billing contact on the registration form.
  • All offline payments are due upon receipt. Space is reserved and confirmed once payment has been received. If a registration is not paid within 30 days, the reserved space will be released, and you will have to re-register.

What is included in the registration fee?

  • Online Access to College Board Registration Platform for the 2022 APSI Online @ Walton
  • Optional training on use of Canvas and Enterprise Zoom
  • Secure online access to APSI Learning Management System
  • Secure online access to consultant’s resources, documents and materials
  • Online technical support during the APSI
  • Registration in one of 28 sessions endorsed by College Board

  • IACET certificate indicating 30 hours and 3 CEUs awarded upon completion of the APSI

How do I access my registration to make changes or to cancel?

Your confirmation email contains your registration confirmation number and a link to the registration page. Click on the link and use the confirmation number to access the registration form.

Make changes or cancel and click submit.

How do I modify or cancel my registration for this APSI?

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Registrants who cancel in writing by June 1, 2023 will receive a full refund of the amount paid less cancellation fee of $100.00.
  • Registrants who cancel after June 01, 2023 do not receive a refund.
  • Substitutions may be made in most instances after June 1st. Please contact us at waltonapsi@gmail.com to discuss available options.
  • Any participant who registered but has not yet paid for a workshop, who does not cancel in writing by June 1, 2023 and who does not attend, must still submit payment in full. 

All accounts must be paid in full prior to the start of the APSI. APSI registrations are confirmed only after payment has been received.  

All payments are made directly to the Walton APSI and NOT College Board.

How are refunds processed?

Refunds are processed in the same manner they were paid. If you paid online with a credit card, the refund is automatically credited to the account on record. If you paid using an off-line method, the APSI bookkeeper will issue a check in accordance with the cancellation and refund policy. The payment will be sent to the person listed as the payee.

Do I need special video equipment to attend the Online WaltonAPSI?

You will need a computer or tablet with internet access for synchronous sessions. Asynchronous sessions may include assignments that do not require using a computer. This may be true in the case of sessions with labs (sciences, music, art).

What kind of technical assistance is offered through the Online WaltonAPSI?

The IT specialists who provide access to Canvas and Zoom will assist participants with login issues and issues related to access of the APSI LMS site. Unique logins and passwords will be issued to each participant. The IT platforms, technical assistance and functionality are provided by NGE Consulting through the IT services at Lake Oconee Academy, Greensboro, GA.

When will I have access to the LMS both before and after the actual session of the Online WaltonAPSI?

You will have access to the general Canvas login June 15 – July 15. You will have access to the synchronous session only during the week you registered for.

What is the daily schedule of the Online WaltonAPSI?

The daily schedule may vary from one session to another based on the content, scheduled activities, or discussions, etc. However, hours run from 8:00 AM (ET) to 4:00 PM (ET). A sample suggested schedule has been distributed to consultants as follows:

  • 9:00 – 10:00:  Session 1 (synchronous/asynchronous)
  • 10:00-10:15: Break
  • 10:15 – 11:15:  Session 2 (synchronous)
  • 11:15-11:30: Break
  • 11:30-1:00: Session 3 (synchronous)
  • 1:00-1:30: Break – Lunch
  • 1:30-3:00:  Session 4 (synchronous)
  • 3:00-3:15: Break
  • 3:15-4:30: Session 5 (synchronous/asynchronous)

How do I contact my consultant?

The Walton APSI will provide registrants with email access to the session consultants. Contact us prior to the start of your APSI for information.

Where do I go to login to the actual APSI session?

When the site is ready in the early part of June, you will receive an email from the APSI with login details.

What time does the session start? How do I know when to start?

  • See your session agenda for a variation of the daily schedule that may be modified for the scheduled activities during the day.

Will I have homework?

The APSI sessions contain both synchronous learning pieces and  and asynchronous exercises or activities. The APSI is designed to provide 30 hours of professional learning and participants should be able to complete all work within that timeframe over the four days.
