How do I register for this workshop?

Select the link in the header of this web page to register. You will need to have a College Board account and will be asked to sign in. You may pay by credit card, check, or PO.

Are there scholarship opportunities in order for me to attend?

Yes. We have been able to secure fee waivers for teachers at schools where at least 50% of the student population consists of underrepresented minority (African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and/or American Indian) students and/or at least 50 percent of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch.

If you were awarded the AP Rural or AP Fellows scholarship for Summer 2024, you may use this award to attend the AP Capstone Summer Training.

Can an administrator make my registration?

No, all attendees must complete their own individual registration using their College Board account. It is critical for the teacher to register using their own College Board account to ensure they receive access to required online resources throughout the school year.

What type of materials are provided?

AP Capstone workshop materials are digital. Each attendee, for either on site or online events, will receive an email with a link to the digital materials 7 days prior to the event as part of the tuition.

Should you wish to have printed hard copy materials, they can be purchased at the College Board store for $35. College Board Store

Can I change workshop dates?

Yes, you may modify your registration up until 7 business days prior and subject to availability.

What username/password should I use to register?

If you have previously used other College Board online systems, you already have an Education Professionals Log-on (EPL) account. The login for online meeting registration is the same as other College Board login accounts you may have.

I just registered for a workshop, but never got an email confirmation – am I registered?

It is very possible that the email was filtered as spam or sent to your Junk email. The confirmation email should have been sent to you immediately after you registered. The email was sent by College Board, from workshopreg@collegeboard.org Please contact us if you have not received a confirmation.

I can no longer attend the workshop I am registered for – what should I do?

It is important that you cancel your registration. To cancel, access your registration confirmation email, click on the event link and cancel your registration.

Important: All new AP Seminar and AP Research teachers must attend the required workshop before teaching the course for their first time. If you can no longer attend, please register for another session to ensure the teacher and their school is eligible to offer the course.

Where is the workshop held?

For 2025, workshops are held on site at the APSI site listed or operated online by APSI host site.

Can the workshop be cancelled?

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the registration attendance is less than 5 participants. In such cases, we will notify you 7 days prior and provide the option to register for another workshop or receive a full refund.

Will the workshop that I attend be recorded? Is a recording of the workshop available?

No. The sessions are not recorded, and recordings will not be available.

Can I receive Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for attending this workshop?

Yes. All participants who complete the workshop in its entirety (all five days) will receive a certificate of 3.0 CEUs. To receive the certificate, participants must complete the workshop survey sent after completion of the workshop.

What are the technical requirements for attending an online sessions?

See below for the requirements:

  • Note that each participant will need their own device.
    Computer for Each Participant: Desktop, laptop, Chromebook, or Surface PRO 4 or
    newer are ideal. (An iOS or Android tablet will not be sufficient as a primary device.)
  • Speakers (either external or internal) or headphones/earbuds

  • Internet Connection – broadband wired or wireless
