Hannah Zarzour is a National Board Certified educator and College Board-endorsed AP Seminar workshop consultant. Hannah has been teaching AP Capstone courses for the past 11 years in Hoover, Alabama at Hoover High School. She has also participated in the AP Reading for the past 9 years, acting as a Reader, Table Leader, and for the past three years, a Question Leader for the End-of-Course Exam, Part A. Hannah acts as the AP Seminar Content Specialist for A+ College Ready, serving as a leader for AP Seminar in the state of Alabama and supporting teachers throughout the year. Hannah’s workshops are known for her focus on student engagement, clear and direct instruction, and participant support throughout the year.
APSI Course Description
In this College Board-designed APSI workshop, participants will leave feeling prepared and excited for teaching AP Seminar! The APSI Seminar session is designed with the purpose to support participants in understanding the curriculum framework, course components and rubrics, and College Board requirements.
In addition, participants will also engage in designing their own course through syllabus and lesson creation. Participants should prepare to fully engage both as a learner and a teacher throughout the AP Summer Institute, engaging with activities and collaborative efforts throughout the week.
This APSI session is designed for both new and experienced AP Seminar teachers. Participants who are new to the course will gain a solid foundation in AP Seminar’s structure and expectations, while experienced teachers will benefit from a comprehensive refresher that includes consultant-led experiences, hands-on activities, and opportunities to share best practices from their own classrooms.
